How to make your speaker working in linux (bytcr-rt5640)


In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make your speaker working for bytcr-rt5640 soundcard

requirement :

.git


1.Open your Terminal and paste these commands ( line per line)

apt install git

git clone https://github.com/techy-dude/bytcr-rt5640-sound-card.git

sudo cp -rf ~/bytcr-rt5640-sound-card/bytcr-rt5640 /usr/share/alsa/ucm

sudo cp -rf ~/bytcr-rt5640-sound-card/asound.state /var/lib/alsa

sudo alsa force-reload

cd /usr/share/alsa/ucm

sudo rm -r !("bytcr-rt5640")


2.Open software manager and download:

-Kmix
-Pavucontrol
-Pasystray



3.Now, reboot your laptop

4.Click on menu and run PulseAudio System Tray


5.You will see a speaker icon appears on your app tray

*If there is nothing appears , you can go here


*If it appears, you can continue to step 6


6.Click the icon,go to Default Sink ,and make sure that Built-in Audio Monospeaker.... is selected





.If there is no speaker icon appears, it means that your soudcard is not detected

.In order to do that, you must add an applets 


*If you want to use your earphone/headphone,you need to change the output manually

.In order to do that,go to menu and run PulseAudio Volume Control


.On the output tab, click on port under Built-in Audio MonoSpeaker...

.Choose Headphones playback


You're done! Now you can enjoy your lovely song happily :)
